ARTICLE 1: PERSONAL DATA AND PRIVACY

Here we describe how we collect, use and handle your information when you use our websites, software and services (“Services”).

What & Why

We collect and use the following information to provide, improve and protect our Services:

User Accounts.

We collect, and associate with your account, information like your name, email address, phone number, payment info, and physical address. Some of our services let you access your accounts and your information with other service providers.

We collect information from and about the devices you use to access the Services.

This includes things like IP addresses, the type of browser and device you use, the web page you visited before coming to our sites, and identifiers associated with your devices.

What we don't

We will never collect and use the following information you shared with our Services:

Private Data.

When you use our Services, we store, process and transmit your data (including stuff like pictures, files, structured data and emails) and information related to them (for example, last edition date of an object) within your connected client servers.

But none of data will be used for improvement or commercial sharing of any kind. Only metadata (such as objects counters, data size) are used for monitoring and improving our Services.

With whom

We may share information as discussed below, but we won't sell it to advertisers or other third-parties.

Others working for Splash Sync.

Splash Sync uses certain trusted third parties (for example, providers of customer support and IT services) to help us provide, improve, protect, and promote our Services.

These third parties will access your information only to perform tasks on our behalf in compliance with this Privacy Policy, and we'll remain responsible for their handling of your information per our instructions.

Other users.

Our Services display information like your name and email address to other users in places like your user profile and sharing notifications.

Certain features let you make additional information available to other users.

You will also give third parties access to your information and account when connecting and synchronizing client servers.

Right of access and rectification

The User can choose how the Data is transmitted and used on the Site.

Splash Sync has a period of one month to respond to any request relating to the exercise of the rights of the User.

This period may be extended by two months because of the complexity or the large number of requests.

Shelf life of personal data

The collected Data are kept for the duration to respect the purpose of their collection.

The shelf life varies according to the Data in question, the nature and purpose of the collection being likely to vary this duration. Similarly, some legal requirements impose a specific retention period.

The User's email address, which is also his login ID, is kept until unsubscribed.

The remainder of the Data will be retained for five (5) years from the User's request to deactivate his account.

When requesting a deletion of the User account, the Data is deactivated and then completely deleted at the end of the aforementioned periods from the day of the request.

Finally, with regard to data collected by means of cookies or tracers, they will be kept for up to six (6) months for cookies or tracers measuring the audience and up to thirteen (13) months for others.

Beyond the above-mentioned retention periods, the collected Data will be anonymized to be kept for exclusively statistical purposes.
